Exciting news from the world of pop music today. Tatu has debuted at number one on the British charts. If you don’t know who Tatu are yet, get ready! They are two cute Russian teen girls who pretend to be lesbians while singing pop songs. Elena Katina (aka Lena) and Julia Volkova are causing scandal all over the place as they dress up in schoolgirl uniforms and even less while on stage. One of the girls is 18 and one is 17 and the rumors have been going around that they are planning to do Playboy as soon as they’re both old enough. I’m not sure what people in the U.S. are going to think about this band.
The BBC is refusing to air the new Tatu video because the girls are kissing each other and running around wet and half naked in the video. If you want to see it, you can find it here.

I read an article today where the guy who created Tatu said that he got some of his ideas for the band from looking at internet porn sites. Isn’t it ironic, don’t you think?
