i think a reader might want the ability to use the ‘add to favourite’ on any of a number of pages of one submission. eg if i was on page 3 of a 6 page chapter and had to leave, it could be a quick way of saving that story to return to later. (perhaps that brings in the extra idea of saving at specific points in submissions, rather than ‘whole’ submissions. not sure it’s easy to achieve, but it might be worth thinking about.).

You’re right - for a while we have been talking about increasing the number of “Favorites” allowed per user. We don’t want to make it unlimited, because then some users might call every story on the site their “Favorite”, defeating the purpose of the feature altogether, but 10 definitely seems like a small number.

I have the idea that there are two different ways that people use the Favorites feature - as a list of their Favorites for the public, or as a list of stories/authors that they want to keep track of for themselves. The idea behind the feature wasn’t really intended for the latter, but we’ve been working on some new Literotica features (for example Friends and Subscribe To Author) that will try to fill that need. Once those new features are launched, hopefully people will not have as much of a need to have thousands of Favorites. But, again, I agree that 10 is not enough, so we’ll definitely work on that.

First, since both look so similar, to avoid confusion on what is being selected, put in bold type ‘author’ or ’story/poem’ in the line preceding the ‘Add To Favorites’ button.

Second, how about allowing for more than just ten favorites in each category?
